Nous vous le disions en introduction de reportage, ce n’était pas la première fois que l’équipe de Mintinbox se rendait à une Star Wars Celebration. En revanche ce qui l’était bel et bien, c’est d’avoir un stand représentant notre site web.
Pour cette occasion toute particulière, nous avions choisi d’exposer sur le thème du grand designer Ralph McQuarrie. Plusieurs objets lui rendant hommage étaient donc présentés sur notre stand tels que bustes Gentle Giant, figurines, badges, un casque de stormtrooper et même un sabre laser.
Nous avions également agrémenté notre table d’autres objets comme les patchs à l’effigie de MintInBox, les StarTots des précédentes Star Wars Celebrations et le livre photo des acteurs de Michel Verpooten, le Conventions Book.
Qui dit Star Wars Celebration dit bien évidemment exclusivité ! Pendant toute la durée de l’événement, les visiteurs pouvaient se procurer sur notre stand des artworks édités spécialement pour l’occasion sous forme de cartes, par notre dessinateur, Sébastien Lasnon (aka Kosept).
Là encore Ralph McQuarrie était à l’honneur puisque Sébastien avait représenté un Stormtrooper, Dark Vador, un Snowtrooper, et Boba Fett dans leur version concept, qui assemblés, formaient une fresque. Autant vous dire que le succès auprès du public était au rendez-vous !
As we mentioned in the introduction, it was not the first time that MintInBox went to a Star Wars Celebration, but for Star Wars Celebration Anaheim, it was the first time that we had a booth about our website.
For this special event, we decided to focus our theme on the great Ralph McQuarrie. Several objects dedicated to him were displayed: some Gentle Giant busts, some figures, button-badges, a Stormtrooper helmet and even a lightsaber.
Of course, we also brought some pieces about MintInBox and displayed them on the tables, like the MintInBox logo as a patch, the Startots of the previous Celebrations and the book of our own Michel Verpoorten: Conventions Book.
Of course, if we speak about Star Wars Celebration, that also means exclusivity! During the whole event (and as long as they lasted 🙂 ), the visitors were able to get at our booth, the specially-made by our own Sébastien Lasnon (aka Kosept) four artworks paying tribute to Ralph McQuarrie: Darth Vader, a Stormtrooper, a Snowtrooper and, of course, Boba Fett.
All together, these four artworks were a fresco highlighting the late master. No need to tell you that these artworks met a huge success with the visitors! 😉
