Pour la première fois, un éditeur de jeux vidéos autre que Lucas Arts était présent à Star Wars Celebration. Et c’est en grande pompe qu’Electronic Arts est venu dévoiler au monde entier le nouveau Star Wars : Battlefront.
Le premier jour de la convention, jeudi, fut réservé à la presse spécialisée venue du monde entier pour assister à la présentation du jeu et se voir dévoiler le trailer ainsi qu’une partie de gameplay (malheureusement le jeu n’était pas jouable sur le salon).
Le lendemain matin une grande conférence a eu lieu durant laquelle EA a officiellement dévoilé le jeu. Nous n’avons pas pu assister à cette conférence en raison de nos plannings respectifs. Suite à cela le stand EA a ouvert au public.
Dès lors deux espaces s’offrent à nous : une pièce fermée dans laquelle une cinquantaine de spectateurs assistent à la présentation du gameplay en live.
Une autre partie plus fun, consiste à prendre place à bord d’un X-Wing en tenue de pilote et de réaliser une courte vidéo montée sur place par l’équipe d’EA et publiée quelques minutes plus tard sur YouTube.

For the first time, another game publisher than Lucas Arts was at a Star Wars Celebration, and it’s with sounds and lights that Electronic Arts came to show the whole world its take on the Star Wars universe: Star Wars: Battlefront.
The first day of the convention, Thursday, was reserved to the medias, which came from all around the world to witness the presentation of the game and to see its trailer and a tiny part of its gameplay (but it was not possible to play with it at the convention).
The morning after, a great conference took place and EA officially unveiled the game. Due to our conflicting schedule it was not possible for any of us to attend that presentation. Later on, after the conference, the booth was open to anyone.
Then we got two choices of rooms: a closed room in which around 50 persons could seat and assist to a video presenting in live conditions the gameplay.
And the other one was funnier: you first wore an X-Wing pilot outfit, then you sat in the cockpit of the X-Wing, and you had to act as a pilot. Then the EA team will edit a short video before being published couple of minutes later on YouTube.
