En voyant l’espace immense que représente le convention center d’Anaheim, on pourrait d’emblée penser que sa capacité suffit largement pour accueillir tout le puclic d’une Star Wars Celebration ! Pas si sûr…
En effet, au fil des quatre jours, le nombre de visiteurs n’a cessé d’augmenter. Il était parfois difficile de circuler à certains endroits des halls ou dans les allées et les files d’attente pour accéder aux stands, aux expositions et rencontrer les acteurs se faisaient toujours plus longues d’heure en heure.
Heureusement, la place accueillant la fontaine située devant l’entrée ainsi que les balcons, offraient des lieux bien agréables pour prendre l’air, croiser quelques cosplayers et faire quelques photos. L’allée centrale menant aux portes du bâtiment a quant à elle accueilli une multitude de food trucks pendant toute la durée de la convention. Une très bonne alternative aux points de restauration en intérieur, mais là encore comme partout ailleurs, il fallait faire preuve de patience pour pouvoir manger.
En tout, ce n’est pas moins de 60 000 visiteurs qui ont occupé les lieux sur l’ensemble des quatre jours. Star Wars Celebration Anaheim est donc à ce jour, celle qui a rassemblé le plus de fans.
Autre fait marquant, les pass d’entrée à la convention ainsi que les tickets d’autographes pour certains acteurs étaient même sold out, ce qui en dit long sur la fréquentation exceptionnelle des lieux, en clair, du jamais vu !
When one sees the huge volume of the Anaheim Convention Center, one might expect that it can host without any problem the visitors of a Star Wars Celebration. Well, not that sure…
Indeed, during the four days of the convention, the number of visitors kept increasing! It was even difficult to move around in some places, in the halls, in the aisles or even in the queues to access the booths, or to access the exhibitions and to meet the actors, which became more and more difficult as the time passed.
Fortunately the area with the fountain, at the entrance, and the balconies were very nice places to get fresh air, meet some cosplayers and to shoot some photographs. The main aisle leading to the gates was hosting several food trucks during the whole convention. Which was a good alternative to the restaurants inside the center, but for the ones willing to have a bit, here too it was necessary to be patient.
In fact, more than 60,000 visitors were at the convention for the four days. Star Wars Celebration Anaheim is, to this day (16th May 2015), the one hosting the biggest number of fans.
Another thing to highlight the attendance to the convention is the fact that the access passes and the autographs tickets were sold out… Cleary something rarely or even never seen!
