Steve Sansweet quitte Lucasfilm

Pour sa derniere semaine de travail au sein de Lucasfilm, Mr Steve Sansweet adresse a tous les fans un petit message :

In lieu of my “Pick of the Week” I’d like to take this space to express my deepest thanks to all of you as I start my final week as a salaried employee of Lucasfilm. The last 15 years have been an amazing journey, and by far the best part has been meeting wonderful people worldwide and becoming fast friends with so many of you. You have been my inspiration, during 70+ hour work weeks leading up to Celebrations; while pushing hard to get the best possible material to share with you at panels; coming up with “unusual” costumes to make us all laugh; and watching the 501st and then the Rebel Legion grow from a couple of guys encased in plastic to worldwide organizations that have fun while doing good.

Star Wars fans are simply the best! As I’ve said before, I will continue to be a part of fandom and attend conventions, hopefully including many I haven’t had the chance to go to before. I promise a major update on my future within the week. Until then, May the Force be with You…always!

A la place de mon "choix de la semaine" je voudrais profiter de l'occasion pour exprimer mes plus profonds remerciements à tous alors que je débute ma dernière semaine en tant que salarié chez Lucasfilm. Les 15 dernières années ont été un incroyable voyage, et de loin la meilleure partie aura été la rencontre de merveilleuses personnes dans le monde entier et nouer des liens d'amitié immediat avec beaucoup d'entre-vous. Vous avez été mon inspiration, pendant ces semaines de travail de plus de 70 heures menant aux "Celebrations"; alors que je mettais tout mon coeur à obtenir le meilleur (des archives Star Wars) pour le partager avec vous lors des présentations; arrivant habillé des costumes les plus "surprenants" pour nous faire rire; et regardant la 501st et la Rebel Legion évoluer de qques gars enfermés dans des armures en plastique à une organisation mondiale prenant plaisir en faisant de bonnes actions.

Les fans de Star Wars sont simplement les meilleurs! Comme je l'ai déjà dit, je ferai encore partie de la communauté de fans et assiterai aux conventions, et je le souhaite, certaines auxquelles je n'ai pas encore assité. Je vous promet une important e mise à jour sur mon future dans la semaine. Jusque-là, Que la Force soit avec vous... Toujours!

En résumé, il ne quitte pas vraiment Lucasfilm. Il change juste de poste et de localisation puisqu'il semble maintenant que son centre des opérations sera le "Rancho Obi-Wan"... Quand il ne sera pas dans un avion pour une convention ou un autre événement lié à la licence Star Wars;

Oui en gros maintenant il va travaillé en tant que consultant indépendant de Lucasfilm, une pré retraite en quelques sorte.

au passage a la wondercon il y a eu un patch 501 :
