Ker Mr info et dans le droit chemin

With the eminent release of the Star Wars Original Trilogy on DVD later
this year we sat down with George Lucas to discuss the persistent rumors
that he is once more altering his creation.
SWI: Mr. Lucas, what do you say to all of the fans who are concerned
that you are "messing with perfection" as it were?
GL: I would say to them that we have absolutely not altered the films in
any way. Oh sure, we had to clean them up a little. After all the
original digital technology was crude and didn't do what we had
intended, all though it did save the original prints from being lost
forever. But that's all.
SWI: Really?
GL: Absolutely. We cleaned up the transfer and the odd annoying blemish,
but that's all. Except for the dancing girls.
SWI: ?
GL: Have you been in the Star Wars Galaxy game? The fans have created
these dancing girls in the cantina. And we saw that and said "yeah, what
a good idea." So we added some. Well, that and the extra space ships
around Mos Eisley. Come on, it is a major space port. There should be
lots of activity.
SWI: Anything else?
GL: We may have added about twenty minutes to the Death Star battle, and
more walkers and troops on Hoth. And, of course, after that we HAD to
add to the battle over Endor.
SWI: And that is. . .
GL: and we changed the Ewoks to chickens.
SWI: Chickens.
GL: Chickens have an undeserved reputation. We've had some out at the
Ranch and they "pffffffuiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit !" be quite fierce when cornered. The Ewoks didn't seem
to test well with modern children.
SWI: Chickens.
GL: Yes.
SWI: So is that all the "improvements?"
GL: Yes, that is everything. Absolutely. Well, there are dance
numbers.
SWI: What dance numbers?
GL: In recent years I've discovered a passion for musicals. They are a
very underrated artform. And I thought to myself that as good as Star
Wars is if it was to music it would make it better, you see?
SWI: Hmm.
GL: Really. It's great. Everyone will love it.
SWI: Well, thank you Mr. Lucas. We look forward to the release of the
Original Star Wars Trilogy on DVD later this year.
GL: Thank you.
