les bénéfs d"hasbro au dernier trimestre 2005 ont grimpé de 15% grâce aux ventes de proders SW aux USA. Ils ont aussi réduit la voilure en amtière de pub pour faire des économies suite à l'effondrement des jeux de société qui mettait à mal les finances du groupe.
Même si, comme le rappelle RS, Hasbro dispose d'une licence SW jusque 2018, ça n'enthousiasme cependant pas les investisseurs.
"Hasbro Inc., the world's second- biggest toymaker, said fourth-quarter profit rose 15 percent, driven by sales of "Star Wars" action figures and lower costs.
"Star Wars" figures, light sabers and vehicles boosted sales for the U.S. toys division by 16 percent in the quarter and helped bring in almost $500 million for the year. Profit was also helped by lower advertising costs. Hasbro's games unit had a 13 percent decline in sales, the fifth drop in six quarters, as customers bought fewer board games such as Trivial Pursuit.
"The quarter's strong performance was primarily driven by lower overall operating costs and continued strong sales of Star Wars products,'' J.P. Morgan Securities Inc. analyst Dean Gianoukos wrote in a report. Gianoukos is based in New York and rates Hasbro shares "neutral.""
