Star Wars Vintage 12 Back-A Double Telescoping Darth Vader AFA 70 - White Stand
Star Wars Vintage 12 Back-A Double Telescoping Darth Vader AFA 70 (C70 B70 F85) #14162555 - White Figure Stand The double telescoping lightsaber version of Darth Vader is an incredibly rare piece.
To make the figure double telescoping, the lightsaber tip pulls out to over 1" long or "pffffffuiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit !" be retracted fully within the thicker portion of the lightsaber. This 12 Back A with a white figure stand is a very early example of a Star Wars 12 back.
It is only known to have been available as a sample, which means figures like this would have likely originated from Kenner employees and would have not been available at the normal retail level.
Even though all Darth Vader double telescoping are early releases, only the 12 Back A's include the white figure stand.
This premier piece is 1 of only 8 12 Back-A Darth Vader double telescoping figures that have been graded by AFA. Don't let this rare figure pass you by, it's hard to say when an early example like this could come up again!
This holy grail of Star Wars collectibles is graded an AFA 70. It is in an archival case with a custom bubble encasement for protection. The card is graded a 70.
The reason for this grade is creasing on the top left portion of the card as pictured. The bubble is graded a 70 as well.
The reason for this is an indent on the top right and top front of the bubble. There is a small 3/8" seam on the upper right corner of the bubble, which AFA has assured us is not a crack.
The Darth Vader Double Telescoping lightsaber figure is graded an AFA 85. The lightsaber handle has the typical double letter mark for a double telescoping saber.
In this case, the letter marking is an "EE". Please let us know if you have any questions regarding this figure.

ABOUT THE AFA GRADING
Once a figure is AFA graded, it is carefully cased inside of a durable acrylic case. It is then completely sealed from human contact, unless someone makes the conscious choice of breaking it out of the case.
Therefore, your figure is kept in the same condition as it was when it was graded. It will not be touched by human hands and the hard acrylic prevents it from sustaining any additional creases, bubble dings, or other damage.
