L’avantage de la Jedi-Con , c’est qu’elle se déroule dans un hôtel. Il offre à la fois les prestations de repos, mais aussi restaurants, bars et « Dance-Floor ».
Cet environnement est propice à de multitudes rencontres. Vous pouvez vous retrouver à trinquer avec Richard Le Parmentier et Matthew Wood, ou vous déhancher sur la piste de danse avec Steve Sansweet.
Cette convivialité sans tabou, a été l’occasion de revoir des collectionneurs venant des quatre coins de l’Europe et d’échanger sur notre saga préférée.
En plus de la boutique officielle qui se trouvait à l’entrée de la convention avec les différents proders aux couleurs de celle-ci, les costumés de la 501, de la Rebel Legion et les autres ont animé les allées de la convention sans interruption. Des Stromtroopers par dizaines, Chewbacca, Han Solo et Padmé étaient là. Des plus jeunes, en « poussettes X-Wing », à Dark Vador tous étaient splendides et sont indispensables pour recréer l’esprit de Star Wars.
Sans oublier la soirée Star Wars Disko qui fut sans doute la plus remarquable, même si pour certains staffeurs de MintInBox la nuit fut courte.
En tout cas ce weekend fut Rock’n Roll.
The good part of the JediCon is where it takes place. The Hotel is a very good solution for this kind of event that drives many people from all Europe and overseas. You have all the needed services (cattering, rooms, dance-floor, bars) at the same place and very close to the airport. So it is quite easy to have a drink with Richard Le Parmentier and Matthew Wood or dancing with Steve Sansweet.
This friendly atmosphere is a rare moment where fans but more especially top world collectors to display, trade and sell some amazing pieces.
The Official Store was located at the convention entrance and had all the Official products available for sale. Costumed people from the 501th, the Rebel Legion but also all the others did an amazing job, animating the halls throughout the convention. Dozens of Stormtroopers, Chewbacca, Han solo, Padmé, costumed young lings such as a wonderful X-Wing wheelchair, all were terrific, they are mandatory to any convention, they are the spirit of Star Wars.
Well, we have to mention the Star Wars Disko night that was unforgettable, even if the night was very short for some of us.
This long week-end was so Rock’n Roll.
