L’espace de l’exposition des concepts art de Ralph McQuarrie était un lieu incontournable pour tous les fans de la première heure et fans de l’univers Star Wars. L’exposition comptait presque une centaine de concepts, eh oui, bien des concepts ! Pour faire simple, ces dessins ont été retrouvés par Ralph McQuarrie par hasard dans ses archives et représentent les premières esquisses des très connus travaux que l’on connaît.
On retrouve parfaitement les premières esquisses de Vador, de C-3PO et Chewbacca. Ou encore le design des différents vaisseaux de notre Saga. Et même le premier concept art de l’Arche d’Alliance, pour » Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark « .
C’est aussi l’occasion de repartir avec une des célèbres lithographies disponibles en édition limitée signée du célèbre » R.M.Q. » de McQuarrie en personne.
McQuarrie is more known to the fans of the first trilogy than to the ones of the second one. That’s why the place to meet was the exhibition of Mc Quarrie’s concept arts. There were about a hundred pieces exhibited. Concepts ? Yes, to make it short : Ralph McQuarrie found in his archives these concepts and they are the early designs of the work we all know.
We can see and recognize the first sketches of Vader, C-3PO and Chewbacca, and also the concept of various spaceships of the saga. Among all the Star Wars pieces, one was able to notice the early drawing of » Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark « .
We also took the opportunity to leave the exhibition with one famous lithography signed, in limited edition, with the famous “ R.M.Q. ” of McQuarrie himself.
