Quel est ton parcours en tant qu’illustrateur et dessinateur ?
Je dessine depuis l’âge de 8ans, mais j’ai toujours travaillé dans l’ombre. Je n’ai jamais osé montrer ce que je savais faire. Ce n’est qu’en 2009 que j’obtiens mon premier contrat professionnel avec la compagnie Versicolor. Depuis ce jour j’œuvre dans le monde des sketch cards pour différente compagnie.
Tu as suivi une école particulière ?
Oui j’ai suivi des cours dès l’âge de 8 ans à la Galerie d’art Charlotte et Hervé. Je suis toujours présent en classe, à ce jour, depuis maintenant 29 ans.
Mes études ce sont poursuivis au Cégep Dawson pour ensuite se terminé à L’Université du Québec à Montréal.
What is your professional background as an artist ?
I draw since i’m 8, but i always worked behind the scenes. I never dated to show what I could do.
It was only in 2009 that i get my first professional contract with the Versicolor company. Since that day I worl in the world of sketch cards for different compay.
Did you follow any specific courses / schools / universties or are you an autodidact ?
Yes, I have followed courses from the age of 8 years at the « Charlotte and Hervé » Art Gallery. i’m always present in class actualy, and for the last 29 years.
My studies are pursued at Dawson College and then at the University of Quebec at Montreal.
Comment t’es-tu retrouvée à dessiner du Star Wars ?
Comment es-tu rentrée dans le monde de l’artfan Star Wars ?
Je crois que je n’ai que combiner mes 2 plus grosses passions, dessiner et Star Wars. Je m’exerçais tous les jours à améliorer mon art et découvrir mon style à moi. Je trouvais que les marqueurs dans les tons de gris s’appliquaient bien à l’univers de Star Wars.
How have you been involved in illustrating Star Wars ?
How did you get involved into the Star Wars’ art/fan universe ?
I think that i combined my two biggest passions, drawing and Star Wars. I exercised every day to improve my art and fine my own style. I found that the markers in shades of gray was fine for the Star Wars universe.
Quel est ton film Star Wars préféré ?
Sans aucun doute L’Empire contre-attaque. Mais je les aime tous! Ils ont tous une saveur différente.
Quel est ton personnage Star Wars préféré dans la saga ?
C’est dur à dire, il y en a tellement. J’aime beaucoup les Sith et les chasseurs de prime. Boba Fett reste sans doute un incontournable. Darth Maul m’a toujours fasciné aussi. Il y a beaucoup de personnages tirés des jeux vidéo et de la série Legacy en bande dessinée que j’aurais aimé voir exécuter au grand écran ou à la télé.
What is your favorite Star Wars movie ?
No doubt, The Empire Strike Back. But i love them all! They have all a different flavor.
What is your favorite Star Wars character ?
It’s hard to say, there are so many. I love the Sith Lord and Bounty Hunters. Boba Fett is probably a must, and Darth Maul has always fascinated myself too. There are many characters from video games and from the Legacy comic books series that I would have liked to see perform on the big screen or on TV.

Je ne crois pas qu’il y en a un en particulier. J’aime toujours les défis, je dirais les personnages avec le plus de détails possible.
What is the character you prefer to draw ? Please explain us why.
I don’t think there’s one in particular. I always like challenges, I would say the characters with as much detail as possible.
Quel est le personnage que tu aimes le moins dessiner ? Brièvement pourquoi ?
Il y’en a pas, mais je dois admettre que même si c’est un défis, toute créature à poil me rend un peux agressif hé hé!
Quelle(s) technique(s) utilises-tu et comment procèdes-tu pour arriver à ton illustration finale ? (dessins au crayon, aquarelle, gouache, acrylique, directement sur ordi, etc.)
Je travaille en majorité avec des marqueurs. Plus précisément des tons de warm et cool Grey. Je commence toujours par sketcher et j’applique ensuite les marqueurs. J’aime bien donné l’illusion de la couleur.
What is the character you do not like to draw the most ? Please explain us why.
There is not, but i have to admit that even if it is a challenge, every haired creature can make me aggressive !!!
Which techniques do you use to reach the final work ? (pencil, watercolour, gouache, acrylic painting, computer, etc.)
I work mostly with markers. Specifically shades of warm and cool Grey. I always start by sketch and I then applied markers. I like to given the illusion of color.
Quelle est l’illustration que tu as préféré réaliser ou que tu trouves la mieux aboutie ? Pourquoi ?
Il y en a deux. La première se nomme A re-newed hope, une commande que j’ai eu et qui m’a mis au défis. Je me suis inspiré un peu des affiches de films de Star Wars et je voulais vraiment donné le sentiment que c’était une histoire indépendante des films. Une histoire qui ce serais passé pendant la bataille d’Endor avec les Stormtroopers, avec une saveur d’espionnage.
L’autre serait Amidala. J’ai eu beaucoup de difficulté avec son visage, mais ça en a valu la peine.
What is the illustration that you like to have worked on the most or the best looking one according to you ? Why ?
There are two. The first is called « A re-newed hope », an order that I had and give me a challenge. I was inspired by Star Wars movie posters and I wanted to really give the feeling that it was a story from an independent films. A story that could have done this during the Battle of Endor with Stormtroopers, with a feeling of espionage.
The other would be Amidala. I had big difficulty with his face, but it’s been worth it.
En plus de Star Wars sur quel univers travailles-tu ? Et lequel est ton favori ?
Actuellement je travaille sur plusieurs projets de cartes. J’en ai un en particulier qui me tient beaucoup à cœur, mais malheureusement je ne peux pas dévoiler beaucoup de détail. C’est un projet de Rittenhouse Archives pour Marvel. Ça implique beaucoup de nos idoles d’enfance tel que Spider-Man, Captain America, Fantastic Four et j’en passe.
What are the other universes you usually work on ? What is your favorite one, if any ?
Currently I am working on several projects of cards. I have one in particular that is close to my heart, but unfortunately I can not reveal much detail. This is a project of Rittenhouse Archives for Marvel. It involves a lot of our childhood heroes like Spider-Man, Captain America, Fantastic Four and many others.
De quel autre illustrateur aimes-tu particulièrement le travail ? Une illustration précise de lui peut-être ?
Il y en a tellement que j’aime je ne sais même pas par qui commencer. Une œuvre qui m’a beaucoup impressionné récemment est celle de Ken Lashley. Je ne connais pas le titre mais elle sera vendu en édition limitée au Célébration 6 de cette année. C’est Lord Vader avec une armure de samurai. Elle est tout simplement sublime!
Do you have any preferred artist amongst others ? Maybe a specific illustration of him ?
There are so many that I like, I don’t even know who to start. A work that impressed me recently is one of Ken Lashley. I don’t know the title but it will be sold in limited edition for Celebration 6 this year. It was Lord Vader with a samurai armor. It is simply fantastic!
Un séjour en Europe ou sur une convention prochainement ? Si oui, où ? Si non, serais-tu intéressé ?
Malheureusement pas d’Europe en vue prochainement. Mais j’aimerais beaucoup participer à une convention là bas. Si jamais l’occasion se présentait je n’hésiterais pas du tout! Pour ceux qui sont en vacances ou résidents au Canada, je serai de la parti lors du FanExpo de Toronto du 23 au 26 Aout et au Montreal ComicCon du 14 au 16 Septembre.
Comme MIB est aussi un site de collectionneurs, es-tu collectionneuse ? Une pièce rare ou favorite ?
Oui je suis collectionneur. J’ai d’ailleurs besoin d’agrandir ma maison. Je collectionne les figurines et les statues de Star Wars. Une pièce rare, probablement que non. Une pièce favorite oui. J’ai la figurine de Leia 12 pouces sur un scout bike autographier pas Carrie Fisher et un combo de deux figurine, Darth Maul et Darth Vader autographier par David Prowse et Ray Park. J’en ai plusieurs autres que j’affectionne, si vous avez une place pour les photos sur votre site il me ferait grand plaisir de les partagés avec vous.
Do you plan to travel in Europe for a convention or any artists show? If yes, where ? If no, would you be interrested in joining such events ?
Unfortunately not in Europe soon. But I would love to attend a convention there. If ever the opportunity presented itself I would not hesitate at all! For those who are on holiday or resident in Canada, I’ll be at the Toronto FanExpo August 23 to 26 and the Montreal ComicCon 14 to 16 September.
As Mintinbox.net is a website dedicated to Star Wars collectors/collectibles, are you a Star Wars collector ? Do you have a preferred piece ?
Yes I am a collector. I also need to expand my house. I collect figurines and statues of Star Wars. A rare piece, probably not. A favorite one yes. I’ve the 12-inch Leia figure on a scout bike autograph by Carrie Fisher and a combo of two figurine, Darth Maul and Darth Vader autographed by David Prowse and Ray Park. I have several others that I like, if you have a place for photos on your site it will be a pleasure to shared with you.

Non pas encore. Mais ma porte est toujours ouverte!
