Les Stars brilleront à la célébration europe
Une des activités intéressantes de la celebration europe sera le Hall dédié aux autographes avec une pléiade de stars des 6 films de la saga
où les visiteurs auront la possibilité de rencontrer les célébrités afin d'obtenir des autographes. Il y aura aussi la possibilité de prendre une photo avec certaines stars.
Nous avons fixé un accord avec the UK’s premier Autograph Contractor, Showmasters Ltd afin qu'ils puissent faire venir des célébrités au hall des autographes.

Welcome to the first edition of Celebration Europe News. The big event is now only seven months away and over the coming months more and more exciting news and information will be announced as July approaches. This newsletter will be the source for official news and inside scoops, the articles below should give you a flavour of what is to come in future editions…..

The Stars Shine At Celebration Europe
One exciting feature of Star Wars Celebration Europe will be a dedicated Autograph Hall featuring a wealth of stars from the casts of all six Star Wars movies, where visitors will have the opportunity to meet the stars and obtain autographs. There will also be photo opportunities with selected stars. We have secured the services of the UK’s premier Autograph Contractor, Showmasters Ltd to provide Autograph Guests for the Autograph Hall.

Like us, their team includes many die-hard Star Wars fans and the enthusiasm they have for the saga shows through in the quality of their work.” said Darren Epstein Managing Director of The Cards Inc. Artists Alley – A gallery far far away…
Another great feature of the show will be the Artists Alley, in which a host of Star Wars artists will be exhibiting their work, offering exclusively created limited edition pieces for sale and running Q&A sessions, demonstrations and how to workshops. Many of the artists will also be available to create custom, one-of-a-kind works for fans by request!
We have already received applications from several noted artists and the available space is filling up nicely so this feature looks set to include a wealth of creative talent, much of which will never have been seen in Europe before.




A Creative Empire – Designing Celebration Europe
The clever design droids at Celebration Europe HQ are currently working on lots of top secret stuff in the studio, burning droid fuel day and night. We hope to be able to include regular updates from the creative team and sneak peeks from the drawing boards in upcoming issues

Something that is taxing their servos at the moment is some new teaser imagery for Celebration Europe, you may of seen the first image on the net of The Death Star looming large over London’s Tower Bridge. You may even have been lucky enough to get hold of one of the ultra rare teaser postcards of this image that were given away at the November 2006 Memorabilia Show in Birmingham, UK, these were limited edition by the way, so if you have one hold onto it. The theme for these teaser images is ‘What if the Star Wars universe came to Europe?’ and plans are proceeding for more designs, keep an eye out for more promotional post cards at up-and-coming events and trade shows in the near future.

Celebration Accommodation – Hotel Packages
Once you purchase your admission ticket for Celebration Europe you will have access to a variety of special accommodation rates that are exclusive to Celebration Europe attendees.

To take advantage of these special rates you will need to provide the Hotel with the password ‘Celebration Europe Visitor’ and your Unique Booking Reference Number. You will be provided with this number at the checkout when you book your tickets. Please keep it safe and make a note of it.


You will need to contact the Hotels by telephone on the numbers listed to obtain the special rates as unfortunately the hotels online booking systems are unable to reflect these special prices.

Toyfair Tastic

Celebration Europe was at ExCeL last week for the British Toy Fair with a special guest … none other than the galaxy’s favourite Mandalorian bounty hunter, Jeremy Bulloch.

Jeremy was on hand to help promote Celebration Europe to the (assembled toy trade, and was escorted by three of the 501st UK Garrison’s finest stormtroopers, who ordered crowds to ‘move along’ as they went. Celebration Europe received some great media attention and Jeremy was swamped for photo-calls and by journalists wanting to know more about the man behind the mask and Celebration Europe.
Press coverage of Celebration Europe included an article on the BBC’s website declaring it as ‘a massive event’ for all Star Wars fans in Europe.


We distributed 3 ultra-rare special edition post cards at Toy Fair, which you "pffffffuiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit !" see here. These postcards will also be available at this week’s Spielwarenmesse International Toy Fair in Nuremberg Germany, and we intend to continue producing new cards over the coming months. Keep an eye out for them! Remember we are only producing a very limited number of each card and each card is immediately retired as soon as it is distributed so if you see one grab it!

Our thanks to Jeremy and to the UK Garrison. The advanced scouting party of 3 stormtroopers looked impressive in the venue, but we could not help but get a warm fuzzy feeling thinking how much more impressive things will be when they are joined by the full invasion force of their brothers and sisters in armour from across Europe in 6 months’ time!


Excellent ExCeL

It was our privilege to welcome Steve Sansweet and Mary Franklin from Lucasfilm, who were in London for a site visit to check out the ExCeL venue and make sure that plans were progressing for July. Steve and Mary were very impressed with the venue and we all wore out plenty of shoe leather scouring every inch of the facilities with floor plans in hand trying to visualize how the Star Wars galaxy will fit in when it takes over next July.

“We are more excited than ever about the prospects for Celebration Europe,” Sansweet said. “We’ve been wanting to bring our kind of show to the U.K. for years, and this is the right time and the right place. Mary and I hope to meet thousands of European fans in July.”

A few stunning new ideas for Celebration Europe were also hatched that are sure to create great excitement… more info on that soon!


AFA International First

We are delighted to announce that the popular grading authority the AFA will be present at Celebration Europe. The AFA is the largest toy grading company in the world and this will be the first time that they have attended an event outside the USA. The AFA was established to help promote the hobby and to give toy collectors the peace of mind of knowing the exact condition and authenticity of a figure. Once a figure is graded, AFA encases it in museum quality acrylic to preserve the condition and improve the display quality. AFA will be accepting all submissions at Celebration Europe and we encourage our European customers to visit their stand as they will be offering Celebration Europe discounts.

C'es super de savoir que pour la CE l'AFA va faire des promos sur ses tarifs.....perso je me vois mal débouler avec mes 600+ carded fig pour qu'on leur mettent une cote.

Par contre j'irai faire un tour chez eux pour voir ce que c'est exactement.
