Due to the changing economy, my business has slowed down terribly. I have had to stop collecting certain lines and even sell off some of my Sideshow collection to make ends meet. I had every Star Wars Premium Format, Bust, 12-inch, and Diorama that Sideshow ever made. Sadly, I now only have the 12-inch collection. I love it though, and I see so much potential for characters that you wouldn’t want to do in the PF line. I was asking for the 12-inch Han in Carbonite for a couple years and was so surprised to see it up for pre-order a while ago. AWESOME! I only hope that when it ships I’ll still have money to buy it! I know this year Sideshow will get a lot of armored figures out. Will Boba Fett be in that group? How about the Militaries line concerning Rebels - any chance for a X-Wing pilot Luke or any Rebel from A New Hope?
It’s a strange and difficult time, and we’re sorry to hear of your troubles. Remember, you’re not alone - and there are plenty of willing ears at the fan-run Sideshow Freaks Board open for batting around the current state of affairs.
Our Star Wars 12-inch line is going strong, and the armored characters will continue. Boba Fett is not in the immediate line-up, but is definitely a character that we’re working on. Similar with the Rebels from “A New Hope”, outside of the Fleet Trooper and Antilles - they’re on our radar, but not in the immediate list.

Will Sideshow ever get to 12-inch versions of such “iconic” classic trilogy characters as Luke in his X-Wing outfit, Greedo, Tusken Raider, or even, should the company feel much more adventurous (i.e. beyond new head, hands or armor that is), definitive 12-inch scale version of characters such as C3PO, “enslaved” Leia or even Chewbacca? Vader and Stormtrooper were a huge relief to see after lots of prequel Jedi and fairly-cool-but-obscure militaries guys; does this signal that Sideshow will be doing more iconic classic trilogy characters soon?
Without getting too specific, several of the characters you mention are on tap for the 12-inch line. We are intent on releasing the core characters, interspersed with the more interesting and fan-favorite ancillary characters. We hope to keep the line ‘fresh’ for many years to come - not simply blast out all of the main characters in one shot!
